The Giant Rocks and Vozka Mountain

Legend says that the giant Amík thought highly of himself, thought he is very powerful, even more powerful than the neighbouring giant. The two of them made a bet who can throw a huge stone further, and Amík was sure he was going to win. The loss made him so angry that he cut in half the stone that he had thrown and that landed on the peak of Šerák Mountain. That is why, we now call the rock formation on the slope of this mountain the Giant Rocks. If you go to see Šerák Mountain, Jiří`s Inn, and Giant Rocks, go further on as far as Vozka Mountain. The rocks on the top of Vozka resemble a coachman with his coach who turned into stone. Legend has it that he had listened to the devil telling him to pave the difficult path through the mountains with loaves of bread.
